Truebluetitan Joins PayPerPost

If you’re like me, then you’re looking for ways to make money online; luckily there is not a lack of opportunity out there. PayPerPost is one of those opportunities. PayPerPost is an online review site that pays bloggers like me to write about Websites, products, services, and companies to provide valuable feedback to the advertisers. I’m going to give it a shot.
Why PayPerPost?
I first read about PayPerPost several months ago on Tyler Cruz’s blog and have been toying with the idea of subscribing ever since. Tyler makes a fairly decent amount of money off of these reviews and they’re always interesting. Before joining a site such as this, my goal was to build up enough subscribers to make writing the review worthwhile. Thanks to the Win a Nintendo Wii contest, I’ve done just that. While there are other sites offering the same kind of incentives, PayPerPost just seemed intriguing to me. I like the site design, robust interface, and the setup was quick and painless.
A Penny For Your Thoughts
Through my membership with PayPerPost I’m obviously hoping to further monetize Truebluetitan, but I’m also eager to gain exposure to new and interesting Websites and the people behind them. That was a primary goal when I joined Entrecard, and it’s proven to work out well so far. To keep the site targeted towards my entrepreneur journey to make money online, I plan to review sites, products, and services that I think will be of interest to you. After all, it’s not at all worth the effort if you don’t find it interesting and entertaining.
My Hesitations
I’m going to be honest here. I’m hesitant to participate in such a program because I do not want you to think that monetary compensation will skew my opinion and all of my reviews will be about “the best thing ever”. That won’t be the case. All reviews will be fair, and based off of the actual performance of the item being reviewed.
Google has also been known to drop the PageRank (PR) of websites because of their participation in such programs. This was a big stumbling block for me. That is until I thought about it further. The last time I looked at this site’s PR it was a 4. What does that mean to me? Absolutely nothing. I think that their PR system is a thing of the past and wouldn’t be bothered if mine were to drop because of participation in such a program. Other sites are earning a fairly substantial income through PayPerPost despite the drop in their PR.
What Are Your Thoughts?
You are the people that will make or break this site, so what do you think? If I’m open and honest with my reviews, fully disclosing that they are such, would you have a problem with my participation in PayPerPost? Let me know.

Congrats on joining PayPerPost! My page rank was dropped but my RealRank remains high. However, Opps are very scarce currently so I am differentiating my income making opportunities. Enjoy being on the top!
You have a great PR of 4, I hope, and I truly hope that Google does not rip it off you.
Good luck and Congratulations!

Paid for reviews are always questionable. How many bad reviews before the company paying for them isn’t interested any more?
Page rank matters even if you personally think it doesn’t because you can only have good opps in PPP if you have a good page rank. It’s like a one shot deal: you have a PR4, enjoy writing lots of reviews via PPP, get paid, Google drops your rank and there are no available opps anymore.
I hope it doesn’t happen in your case.
Grace, it looks as though my involvement in PayPerPost may be very short as it appears as though there are barely any opportunities out there. Let’s see what happens.
If you do it right and follow Google’s guideline, you will be alright Rob. Google own WebMaster Help Center has released this Useful Informations. Read it and I hope it will ease up your mind.
Now back to PPP. I wanna tell you a little story I had with them. After registering with PPP for quite some times, I decided to take up an opportunity to post a review about them. That was suppose to be my first so called sponsored post with PPP.
After publishing the said sponsored post, I didn’t heard anything from them. Then three weeks later, I received an email from them telling me that I’ve violated their ToS or something and decided not/don’t want to pay me.
Okay, fair enough. If I’ve violated their ToS or whatever, I can accept it, but to tell me about it three long weeks later was uncalled for.
Why does it took three weeks to decide not to pay me. If I had known, I would deleted that so called sponsored post right then and there. Why should I gave them a free three weeks worth of advertising?
Just imagine, if PPP pulled this kind of acts with other sponsored posts, they’re getting free advertising! Grrrr… !
I’ve never been treated like this with ReviewMe and SponsoredReview. If they don’t like the post, they will tell me promptly. I don’t have to wait for three weeks to know they don’t want to pay me up!
Their banners are still up on my Flag-Ship blog, and I might take another opportunity. But not now, while I still having nightmares about them.
Why did Rod Stewart says in a song? Yeah, that’s right, First Cut is The Deepest.
Greetings and lotta loves from Malaysia.
Yeah Rob, you better follow those guidelines. I am not crazy about the idea at all. Granted it can be used as a form of advertising if you implement all of the guidelines that Google puts forth. But, I personally do not like the risk.
I think that personally, you should just do your own reviews and use affiliate income to sustain the review. Long-term better returns. If you are writing quality reviews, in the future people/companies will send you free stuff to review.
In theory PPP should be fine, if handled properly. But I just don’t see a reality where it actually works out as well as the theory.
Personally, I think there are other, better ways to make money online. I’ve always though of PPP as the late night weight loss infomercial of the blogging world. It may or may not work, but anyone who actually buys the product is too ashamed to admit it to their friends, and unwilling to say negativ e things about the results since they’ve just paid so much for something so silly.
Just my humble opinion!

How is it going with them? I was thinking of signing up but I had a quick look and I think I need my google page rank to be updated first and my alexa ranking to settle.

@ Toni It actually hasn’t. It took days for them to approve my initial post and I have yet to see another opportunity available to me. If one does not present itself by this weekend, then my participation in the program will be short-lived.
I don’t use PPP on my site, but I do refer others to it, actually I think I referred you Rob (or maybe there are more Rob Schultz’s out there).
Google has been trying to chase down and penalize blogs that use PPP and other advertising methods (TLA, etc). So just be careful.
I had my PR removed for the month of December for some unknown reason, as I hope it wasn’t because of the javascript that PPP asks you to include.
Best Regards,
Becky
