Dr. Pausch teaches what matters most
Like most of you who will find your way to my site, I read articles on Digg daily. Whenever I see one discussing my hometown (Pittsburgh, PA) or something in the area I have to read it. Today, there was such an article. What I didn’t expect was just how touching the story was.
He was a man of honor and integrity. The world is a better place because he dwelled upon it.
On September 19, the Pittsburgh Post Gazette published an article that brought tears to my eyes. Dr. Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, has terminal cancer, but from the sound of the article you wouldn’t know it. He has lived an eventful life; he has fathered 3 children, achieve life goals, and inspire tomorrow’s leaders along the way.
This man is a role model. There is nothing more to say other than read the article, watch the video below, and digg it. Heed his words, remember what he said on September 18, 2007 and live your life in the same manner that he lives his. In doing this, when it comes time for you to bid farewell to this life, others will remember you and say, “He was a man of honor and integrity. The world is a better place because he dwelled upon it.”

Saw this earlier today at work. Very inspiring, yet so damn sad.
He was on Good Morning America today. He’s definitely a wonderful reflection of this amazing city we live in.
It sounds like he was a good man.
